The Custom Settings screen

Audience: admins · Scope: the Custom Settings screen · Last reviewed: 2026-07-25

What this doesCustom Settings is the single screen where most of the site's features are configured — Pipedrive, Quote Follow-ups, the Google/Infor connections, performance data, tracking, and more. This article explains how it's organised so you can find a setting and change it safely.

Before you start

  • Be signed in — see Log in to the admin area.
  • Many settings here hold secrets (tokens, passwords, keys). Change them only when you know what they do, ideally with your Beta-Calco contact.

How it's organised

  1. Click Custom Settings in the menu. You'll see a short list with one row per environmentlive, staging, and dev.
  2. Open the row for the environment you're changing (usually live). Each environment keeps its own values, so a change to one doesn't affect the others.
  3. Inside, the settings are split into collapsible groups by feature. Click a group heading to open it, make your change, and Save.

The groups (what lives where)

All 25 groups, numbered in the order they appear on the form, and where to read more. Groups with no article are set-once plumbing — they were configured when the site was built and there is no routine reason to open them. Everything is on one long page, so counting down the headings is the quickest way to find one.

Good to know

  • Per environment. Live, staging, and dev each have their own row and values. Make sure you're editing the right environment — usually live.
  • Secrets live here. Tokens, passwords, and keys are in these groups. Don't change them casually, and don't screenshot or share the settings form.
  • Save applies on the next request. After saving, the new value is used from then on.
  • Most of these are set once. Day to day you rarely open this screen — the individual feature articles point you at the specific setting you need when there is one.

Screens and labels can differ slightly between environments — if a label doesn't match what you see, check with your Beta-Calco contact.
