Quotes & sales — admin guide
Audience: operators · Scope: the admin setup behind quotes and sales · Last reviewed: 2026-07-20
TL;DR — The back-office reference data that powers quoting: the Quote Console settings (the account managers, sales managers, tax rates, payment terms, and overages that agents pick from), the commission and volume-discount structures that drive pricing, and the customer records and groups that decide who is quoted what, in which currency. Get these right and the sales team's quotes come out correct.
Tasks
- Set up the Quote Console (managers, tax, terms, overages)
- Manage commission tiers
- Manage volume discounts
- Find and update a customer
- Control what a customer group can see and do
- Update the branch list from the Rep Master sheet
- Clean up users on deleted branches
- Set up the regions (the flag picker)
Not covered here
- Building a quote as a sales agent (the My Beta Calco quote maker — create, price, send a quote, and track orders) is a sales-agent task rather than back-office admin. It has its own system: Sales agent (My Beta Calco).
- The Quote Follow-Up reminders are their own system.
Screens and labels can differ slightly between environments — if a label doesn't match what you see, check with your Beta-Calco contact.
