Turn the tracking sheets on or off

What this does — Quote Follow-Up can mirror two kinds of data to Google Sheets: a stage-change log (a running history of quote status/stage changes) and a nudge sheet (the list of quotes currently due for a follow-up). Each is turned on simply by naming a Google Sheet, and off by clearing it.

Before you start​

  • Be signed in — see Log in to the admin area.
  • Have the Google Sheet you want to write to ready (your Beta-Calco contact sets up the sheet's sharing so the site can write to it).
  • The settings are under Custom Settings → Quote Follow-ups.

The two sheets​

  • Quote stage-change log sheet — mirrors every quote status/stage change to a sheet, as an audit trail. Each row's last column (change reason) spells out the movement that created it — e.g. stage: Design/Budget → Quoted — so you can read what happened without comparing rows.

    The changes are always recorded inside the system; this sheet is just a copy for people who prefer to read it in a spreadsheet. Turning the sheet off doesn't lose any history.

  • Follow-up nudge sheet — the list of quotes that are due for a nudge, rebuilt on a schedule. A reminder workflow reads this sheet to know who to chase. How "due" is decided is the nudge cadence.

Turn one on​

  1. Go to Custom Settings → Quote Follow-ups.
  2. Find the setting for the sheet you want — the stage-change log sheet or the nudge sheet.
  3. Enter the Google Sheet to use.
  4. Save.

Turn one off​

  1. Same place; clear the sheet setting (leave it blank).
  2. Save. The mirror stops writing (and, for the stage-change log, history is still kept inside the system).

What happens next​

  • With a sheet set, the data is written to it on the next scheduled run (not instantly).
  • With it blank, nothing is written to a sheet — the stage-change log still records internally; the nudge list simply isn't produced.

Good to know​

  • Blank = off. An empty sheet setting turns that mirror off.
  • Not instant. Both sheets refresh on a schedule, so give it time after a change before checking.
  • The nudge sheet needs a cadence. If the nudge sheet is on but empty, check that stages have nudge days set — with no cadence, nothing is ever "due".
  • Sharing matters. If the site can't write to a sheet, the sharing/permission on the Google Sheet is the usual cause — check with your Beta-Calco contact.

Screens and labels can differ slightly between environments — if a label doesn't match what you see, check with your Beta-Calco contact.
